Cookie Perfection

Cookie—one of the American English words with origins in Dutch. Cookie comes from the Dutch koekje, which means little cake.  (In British countries this little treat is usually called a biscuit. The precise meaning varies in different parts of the world. Biscuit is derived  from a Middle French word meaning "twice cooked.")

Enough linguistics. Let’s talk about goodness and taste By any name these new cookies from Back to Nature Foods are just perfect—made with ingredients you would not be ashamed to put on your table  and in your mouth. They are just amazing.

Triple Ginger—just piquant enough and still sweet
Madagascar Vanilla—heavenly smooth
California Lemon—citrus snap and very refreshing

All taste like shortbread confections—rich, buttery and filling but they are actually vegan and not that caloric.

The Complete Cracker

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to snack on a cracker that was so delicious and crunchy and, thanks to interesting blends of flavors, had a taste that was so unexpected and delicious that it didn’t need a dip or even cheese to top it off?
Your wish is granted. Back to Nature, the Wisconsin-based purveyor of cookies, granolas, trail mixes, and more has several varieties of crackers to intrigue the palate.
Sunflower Basil—crisp savory crackers with crunchy sunflower kernels and fragrant basil. No cholesterol no trans fat, no hydrogenated oils, no artificial flavors or colors. Thanks to a touch of olive oil, sea salt a dash of black pepper, there is plenty of flavor.
Sesame Tarragon— sprinkled with golden sesame seeds and Tarragon with snippets of Parsley, basil, olive oil, sea salt.
Poppy Thyme -- These crackers are sprinkled with Poppy Seeds and Chopped Thyme with a bit of Parsley, black pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
Who needs cheese or dips? But feel free to serve these tasty savory crackers with whatever you choose. You can’t go wrong.

Make Mine Mac

There is something about winter and winter sports that needs to be fed by Mac and Cheese. Skiers and Snowboarders have been known to stock up on cartons of this hearty, tasty, and fast-cooking food to have on hand after voracious runs on the slopes. Who doesn't appreciate the delicious pleasure of a creamy pasta and cheese dinner?

But wait, why not consider an alternative that has no artificial flavors or preservatives, and with a creamy cheese sauce mix made with real, certified organic cheese. California-based Back to Nature Foods has created a line of pasta and cheese dinners like Cheddar Spirals made with White Cheddar or Crazy Bugs, with the pasta in shapes that should interest kids. But in any shape or form, these dinners are a hit.

We found that each and every one tasted just like, well, Mac and Cheese, only better because you know it is healthier for you. It just doesn’t taste like it. Sort of a trompe de l'oeil for the taste buds-- trompez la bouche?
