Gardenburger Delights

Today there are many varieties of veggie burgers and each is delicious in its own way. There is room for all and consumers benefit by having more to choose from.

Gardenburger Veggie burgers are the original veggie burgers and now they have new flavors that are very tasty, versatile and easy to prepare. Don't just think of them as a substitutes for meat. They are delicious on their own terms. And you don't always have to serve them as burgers.

The Black Bean Chipotle Veggie Burger (vegan) has a nice spicy bite and works well as a base for Tex-Mex inspired meals. The Sun-Dried Tomato Basil is a nicely-nuanced addition to any dinner and gives a flavorful touch

The Portabella tastes the “meatiest” and lends itself to a star appearance in many dishes. The Veggie Medley is packed with colorful vegetables that lend color as well as nutrition.

Veggies burgers can be cooked on the stove or on the barbecue grill for extra flavor. Serve them in buns like meat burgers with fixings or crumble them and treat them like ground meat. You buy them frozen so just let them thaw and then just handle them like you would ground beef. Make tacos using the crumbled Chipotle burgers or meatloaf with the Original Plain or Tomato Basil or the Portabella. Add another Gardenburger flavor to pasta sauce to make it Bolognese.

Just because you are buying veggie burgers doesn’t mean you can’t turn them into another form for a myriad of dishes and Gardenburger veggie burgers offer the perfect range of flavors for many recipe uses. A new twist--several new tasty twists-- on a proven product.

Vegetarian Steps

We asked several lifelong meat eaters who had always steered clear of anything “veggie” for most of their lives, to try the Boca Bruschetta Tomato Basil Parmesan Patties. Here are a few comments:

Said one young woman from PA: “I’ve got to tell you they taste undeniably good. They certainly did not taste like chewing on cardboard, which I partly expected it to before I popped one in a frying pan and cooked it with a bit of olive oil.”

Another respondent from NY commented: “I didn’t check the fat/calorie content on the back of the box simply because I rarely do, but after I micro-waved and ate the Boca Bruschetta Tomato Basil Parmesan “burger,” I checked. I was surprised to find that the pattie I had just consumed had a measly 70 calories and 1.5 grams of fat. Truth is, the pattie tasted so good I certainly expected it to have much more fat/calories. And now, I have begun taking an interest in these vegetarian “meat” products. So, have I been “converted” to Boca? Surprisingly, yes.”

Said a now-veggie convert from CT: “I am hooked. From now on I will be sure to have a more open mind when it comes to trying vegetarian alternatives. If they all are as good as the Boca Bruschetta Tomato Basil Parmesan burger, then I was missing something.”

Don't miss out. Give them a try yourself.
