Naturally Clean; Clean Naturally

When it comes to cleaning—your home, your clothes …you have many choices. Should you choose products that are made from natural ingredients? Even if you don’t have a well for your drinking water or a septic tank for waste, what gets poured or sprayed into your living environment and your clothes, eventually goes out into the environment in some way at some point. If the product cleans or softens to your satisfaction why wouldn’t you use it?

At Seventh Generation, they say: “We know your home is your world.. . For the past 20 years, it’s been our mission to help you protect your world with our naturally safe and effective household products.” And they make and sell what they advocate.

For example the Natural All Purpose Cleaner is non-toxic & biodegradable, hypo-allergenic, does not create harsh fumes, is not tested on animals, and is even Kosher-certified. And with ingredients including essential oils and botanical extracts* (citrus reticulata (green mandarin), mentha spicata (spearmint), citrus aurantium amara (petitgrain), citrus aurantium bigarade , it smells absolutely wonderful. And those plant-based ingredients are not there just for the olfactory effect, they provide real cleaning muscle, along with the other biodegradable ingredients.
Other great-performing and wonderful smelling cleaning products include: Blue Eucalyptus and Lavender or White Flower and Bergamot Citrus Laundry Liquid Concentrate, Wild Orange and Cedar Spice Kitchen Cleaner, Lavender Floral and Mint Dishwashing Liquid, Emerald Cypress and Fir Tub and Tile Cleaner. There are also Automatic Dishwasher detergent packs that work very well. When you use these products you will not only cleaning up, you will be cleaning with a conscience, with the welcome bonus of fresh fragrance.

As of this writing, Seventh Generation has saved more than 365,000 trees and 999,000 gallons of petroleum. As their motto says:
"In our every deliberation, we must consider the
impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.”

  5. I recently had a customer in my grocery store who told me that she had just moved into a new house and she was in charge of getting all of the necessary cleaning supplies for this new home. She spent quite a bit of time in the cleaning aisle and she was carefully reading almost every label of every item she was considering buying. I would estimate her age to be late 20's to very early 30's and out of curiosity I looked at the items in her cart and every single one of them was a "green" product without exception! For some reason I felt good about that and was glad that she had found my store and hoped to have her as a repeat customer in the future. The green message is being heard but as Kermit has been known to say "It's not easy being Green!" due to the fact that most of the items (ok all of them) are a bit higher priced than the others. Think Green, Buy Green! The future will thank you.......
